Friday 14th August was a very special day.
Miracle 1
At about 12.45pm, I was putting on my uniform (long-sleeved, long 4 for army guys) and getting ready for our next training. As I stretched my arm upwards to get it into the sleeve, my hand hit the ceiling fan. Yes, I stupidly stood under the ceiling fan to change. I thought nothing of it, because such incidents have happened before. Then I decided to check my hand to see if it was okay. I then realised that my hand was still inside the sleeve and fully concealed by it. Upon removing my hand from the sleeve, I noticed a deep gash, all the way to the bone, on my index finger. It wasn't bleeding yet, but it did soon enough and rather profusely and continued to bleed (less profusely) for the next 10 hours or so.
If my hand was out of the sleeve, I would most definitely have lost my finger. And those who know me would know how much my fingers mean to me. HAHAHA.
Miracle 2
Before duty at around 6pm, we went to grab dinner at the cookhouse and we were asked to leave our vests and items outside, with a sergeant watching it. When we came back after dinner to pick up our belongings, one of my issued items was missing. (I don't think I'm allowed to mention what it is on the internet, so I shall not take any risks) Losing this item would mean 7 years in detention barracks, which is military prison. Naturally, I freaked out. So I searched everywhere in the immediate vicinity and could not find it. I informed my sergeant and proceeded to fall in and continue with the things we had to do. My sergeant asked the other sergeants to search the area. For the whole time that I had fallen in and was doing the things I had to do, I could not concentrate at all. I was praying like mad.
After we were done, I asked my sergeant again. He said the other sergeants could not find it. I freaked out even more. I then asked one of my buddies to help me check one of my pouches. And amazingly, it was there. I did not put it there. Neither did any one of the people with me. No one knows who put it in there.
Miracle 3
While doing my overnight duty, my buddy and I were taking turns guarding an area. So we decided to take turns to catch some sleep. As I was snoozing, at approximately 5.20am, I felt something nudge me. I woke up and noticed something black about a metre away from me. As I opened my eyes wider, I realised that it was not a rat as I had thought it to be. It was a snake, black with bright yellow stripes. My friend did not see it, so it was not him who had nudged me. It most certainly was not the snake that had nudged me as it was too far away to have done so.
3 times in a day. I truly have an amazing friend, an amazing Father, watching over me. All glory be to God, now and forever.
